Our Clock Collection

We have a small but fine collection of clocks, from the 18th and 19th centuries.

It includes a magnificent gilded bracket clock by John Ellicott (c1770), updated by his son, Edward – both of whom were Past Masters of The Company. The collection also includes a splendid ormolu mantel clock by Benjamin Louis Vulliamy (c1825), recently recovered and returned to Clothworkers’ Hall following its theft more than 50 years ago.
